Ten years after the previous attempt to install the well ENI Pilot Rovagnate 1 "in places Bagaggera and more than 5 from the closing of the events related to "Sernovella 1", another misguided attempt to raise a tower of AGIP drilling a few meters from the town of Paderno d'Adda, our region is once again under attack.
In each of the two cases mentioned above, only through the mobilization of community leaders and provincial environmental groups (and especially Legambiente) and hundreds of citizens who have spoken out strongly for the defense, it was possible to avoid environmental disaster.
These days we are witnessing a strong stand united against the project "Bernaga" presented by "Po Operation Valley "by local authorities and political forces that are intervening at the appropriate institutional bodies.
same time, thanks to the possibilities offered by the Internet, are increasing protest actions by individual citizens against the project "Bernaga" a demonstration of this, the great audience participation of the Consortium Meeting Park last Wednesday made possible by media buzz.
To better organize the activities of individuals, in agreement with the Mayors of the park, we therefore propose the creation of a committee of citizens who can complement the efforts of local authorities and promote activities mobilization such as collecting signatures, torchlight processions, theatrical and musical performances, etc..
up of the Committee's meeting will be held Tuesday, May 19, at 21.00, at House Butte, home to the Park and the Valley of Montevecchia Curone. The meeting will be public and open to anyone wishing to make a contribution in terms of ideas and activities.
Note: To prevent exploitation of a political nature, even in the upcoming elections, the coordination committee (which will be defined during the evening) will be strictly taken by citizens who do not refer to any political force and not directly involved in elections.
